The co-ownership building insurance is compulsory under the law. The management committee should maintain the co-owned building insured against fire, thunder and earthquake. The cover should correspond to the building’s replacement value.

If the management committee would like to be insured for other risks, the decision will be binding for all if decided by persons that constitute a majority of more than 50% of the total ownership.

A co-owned building is, in accordance with the law, each building consisting of at least five units, even if they belong to the same owner.
